Special Note for Y'all: Dreads are not a dirty or unkempt hair style; they are intentional. It is easy to keep a clean scalp and head of dreads. On to dread perms – a great way to start a beautiful set of dreadlocks and have a long-lasting, low-maintenance hairstyle: a comb, my skills, and a bit of chemical are what make the dreads dread, which occurs in about four hours. They are formed from the get-go and change everyday, only getting better with time. The hair will continue to grow and you may choose to get a dread maintenance a few times a year. Rolling and twisting will also help promote the dreading. Synth dreads may be added for length and colour. Anything is possible.
